Watermelon...........A Healthy Summer Fruit

   On a hot summer's day, a glass of cool watermelon juice serves as an excellent weight loss technique as it can replace higher-calorie snacks or desserts. Though it contains natural sugar and carbohydrates, it has fewer calories and a variety of nutrients packed in juicy morsels. Due to minimal sugar content, it doesn't have a huge impact on blood sugar levels.

 
One cup of diced watermelon (152 grams) contains 43 calories, 0 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbohydrate (including 9 grams of sugar),1grams of fiber and 2 milligrams of sodium. One cup of watermelon will provide 17% of vitamin A, 21% of vitamin C, 2% of iron and 1% of calcium needs for the day.
